CAAS - Controller (Healthcare Industry) | Minnesota [In-office] CLA is a national professional services firm focused on helping clients, our people, and communities through industry-focused wealth advisory, digital, audit, tax, consulting, and outsourcing services. The role is based in Minnesota (in-office) within the Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) practice. The Controller will work with healthcare industry clients to transform their business, mitigate risk, meet deadlines, and support workforce needs. Primary Responsibilities

Develop full knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and a deep understanding of financial and operational aspects of the Healthcare industry. Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting. Coordinate and direct financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities for all or part of an organization. Prepare financial information and, as needed, financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies. Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriate recommendations. Monitor ratio and key performance indicators (KPI). Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing actions. Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions. Communicate regularly with boards, bankers, investors, constituents, etc.; may include prepping for and/or hosting board presentations. What You Will Need

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree. CPA certification is preferred but not required. Experience: 6 years of relevant work experience as a Controller or equivalent is required. Accounting back-office experience is required. Relevant experience in the Healthcare industry is highly preferred. Public accounting experience is welcome but not required. Aptitude for developing and maintaining a thorough working knowledge of accounting software and systems; QuickBooks experience is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Travel: This position works primarily in-office and may require frequent local travel to client sites, with occasional non-local or overnight travel for client visits or training. The wage range for this position in Minneapolis, MN is: $101,131.00 - $151,697.00 (annual). Our Perks
