Base pay range: $101,131.00/yr - $151,697.00/yr

CLA is hiring a Controller with Healthcare Industry experience for the Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) practice, based out of any of our Minnesota offices (Minneapolis, Monticello, St. Cloud, Alexandria, or Brainerd/Baxter).
Responsibilities
Develop full knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and a deep understanding of financial and operational aspects of the Healthcare industry.
Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities for all or part of an organization.
Prepare financial information and financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, or regulatory reports.
Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and provide recommendations.
Monitor ratios and key performance indicators (KPI).
Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending actions as needed.
Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
Communicate regularly with boards, bankers, investors, constituents, etc.; prepare for and/or host board presentations as appropriate.
What You Will Need
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience as a Controller or equivalent.
Accounting back-office experience required.
Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred; public accounting experience is a plus.
Aptitude for developing and maintaining knowledge of accounting software and systems; QuickBooks experience is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software.
Travel: Primarily in-office with frequent local travel to client sites; may include occasional non-local or overnight travel.

The wage range for this position in Minneapolis, MN is $101,131.00 - $151,697.00 (annual).
