Associate Actuary - Medicare at Centene Corporation Centene is seeking a motivated, self-driven associate actuary to join our Medicare Duals team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact Medicare Duals analyses, while playing a key role on the Medicare Bid Team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of bid assumptions, conduct bid reviews, and support bid certification efforts — helping drive strategic decision-making and ensuring accuracy in Medicare bids submissions. To be considered, candidates must have an ASA or FSA designation, a bachelor’s degree, and at least two years of actuarial experience. Applicants may work remotely from anywhere within the continental United States. Ideal schedule is ET, CT, or PT. Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business to calculate financial outcomes Develop probability tables based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information Research and analyze the impact of legislative changes Analyze and evaluate required premium rates Analyze various data reports, identify trends and gaps, and recommend action Determine the equitable basis for distributing money for insurance benefits Create and update actuarial reports Participate in merger and acquisition analysis Conduct analyses, pricing, and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes Own bid assumptions and certify a set of bids Be a Medicare Duals leader within the company Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; 2+ years of actuarial experience Licenses/Certifications: Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent Preferred: Member of the American Academy of Actuaries Education/Experience
