Skybound Entertainment – Technical Accounting Manager
This role leads financial reporting, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across entertainment verticals. Hybrid: on-site
once per quarter . Pay range $120K–$150K plus benefits and potential bonus.
Responsibilities
Lead preparation and review of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Manage financial reporting deliverables for Regulation A Tier 2 filings (1‑K, 1‑SA).
Lead external audit processes; manage audit bridges, adjusting entries, and audit responses.
Draft, maintain, and present technical accounting memos on contract accounting, revenue recognition, lease accounting, capitalization, and business combinations.
Own the reporting model and ensure consistency between model and GAAP financials.
Oversee multi‑entity consolidations, elimination entries, and intercompany accounting.
Support compliance and integration efforts related to newly acquired subsidiaries.
Maintain internal controls, SOX compliance, policy documentation, and accounting training for the team.
Tax & Insurance
Internal lead for all tax matters; coordinate with external advisors on federal, state, and international filings.
Manage tax provision calculations and documentation.
Oversee annual insurance renewals and risk compliance requirements.
Lead design and reporting of transfer pricing and international tax considerations.
Corporate Support
Prepare debt covenant reporting and financial compliance deliverables.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with FP&A, Legal, Licensing, and Operations on finance initiatives.
Support special projects, process improvements, and financial systems enhancements.
Collaborate with in‑house legal team on corporate entity design and inter‑company group interactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience; 2+ years in public accounting (Big 4 or large national/regional firm preferred).
Strong technical accounting background with proficiency in US GAAP and experience drafting whitepapers/memos.
Proven ability to manage tax workflows in collaboration with external advisors.
Expertise in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication, strong leadership, and interpersonal qualities.
