Help drive superior decision-making at Ruiz Foods by applying analytical and data synthesis skills to deliver key business insights Partner with Ruiz Foods business functions and provide financial leadership to optimize profitability and performance through unbiased financial analysis of key initiatives and strategic objectives Lead periodic forecast and annual business plan (ABP) processes Support strategic planning processes, prepare strategic plan financial forecasts Prepare monthly performance summaries for Executive Team Help maintain ERP system close processes and utilize skillset to develop next generation reporting and forecasting tools Direct analysis and reporting for sales, distribution, etc. as needed Supervise and mentor staff of 2 Team members, cross train with and backup Develop and maintain accurate P&L modeling, support development of Board materials for the FP&A department quarterly Continuous improvement of all reports and reporting process Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting Able to speak effectively before groups including all levels of management and Team Members. Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Note: being in the office full-time Monday through Thursday is a requirement (employees have the option to work remotely on Friday) All other duties, as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor degree in finance and/or accounting, or related; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of experience in general accounting/finance. A passion for understanding Ruiz Foods market, product offerings and customer base. Track record of developing and implementing new processes in a cross functional environment. Undergraduate degree in Business (Finance and/or Accounting preferred) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent experience desired. Working knowledge of internal accounting controls. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Ability to write procedures and reports. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook essential. Strong organizational skills. Requires minimal supervision. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
