The Credit Analyst II/III is responsible for daily operations, applicable projects, employee training, and reporting within the credit department, including: new counterparty setups, credit limits, contract reviews, customer inquiries, mentoring teammates, and monitoring credit exposures. This role requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounting and finance principles. The ability to thrive in a team environment is key. In this role, you will develop a robust framework of analytics and reporting to support commercial decisions across commodity marketing strategies as we grow our wholesale trading and marketing business. You will understand deal structures, credit exposure, and risk mitigation strategies, presenting your findings to internal and external stakeholders. Collaboration and communication with teams across Commercial, Legal, Accounting, Risk, and Structuring are crucial for success. Establish credit limits for new and existing counterparties Process issuance and amendments of collateral instruments Review A/R for counterparties and monitor credit exposure Review and approve counterparty contracts; handle inquiries Produce reports on credit activities and operations Manage counterparty exposure using real-time Credit System Negotiate and manage credit support instruments Manage credit settings on electronic trading platforms such as ICE Perform financial modeling to support credit limit establishment Represent Williams at conferences and working groups Other duties as assigned Education and Experience:
Credit Analyst II: Required: Bachelor’s in business, finance, or accounting; minimum 3 years in an accounting/finance environment Preferred: 5+ years oil and gas experience in finance/accounting Credit Analyst III: Required: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business; minimum 5 years in Finance/Accounting Preferred: Master’s degree and 7+ years in finance or accounting within oil and gas; CPA preferred Other Requirements:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, and safety awareness Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and understanding of financial documents and ratios Ability to present information clearly and meet deadlines Mentoring abilities and operational feedback
