Accounts Payable (AP) Administrator
Founded in 1935, Roto-Rooter is North America's largest plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services provider. Roto-Rooter operates businesses in over 100 company‑owned branches, independent contractor territories, and approximately 400 independent franchise operations, serving roughly 90% of the U.S. population and parts of Canada.
Because we are expanding rapidly through acquisitions and internal growth, we have an excellent opportunity available for an
AP Administrator . We are hiring immediately! This candidate should have a background in accounting, accounts payable, and office coordinator experience.
Responsibilities
Interface with corporate home office personnel to answer general employee questions and maintain communications between customers, management, office staff, and service technicians.
Compute payroll for office staff and resolve payroll discrepancies with payroll representatives.
Receive, review, and verify incoming vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper authorization and coding.
Serve as a point of contact for vendors, addressing payment inquiries and resolving any issues that arise.
Ensure timely and accurate payment processing for invoices.
Record accounting transactions required to adequately report and manage payables.
Enforce proper administrative procedures and policy utilization.
Assign tasks and shifts to office staff and ensure all shifts are covered with appropriate personnel. Train office employees as needed.
Communicate with customers as needed, including resolving customer complaints about services.
Perform other office duties as needed.
Requirements
Demonstrated prior experience in accounts payable accounting is highly preferred for this role.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of various common software programs.
Self‑starter who is organized, thorough with attention to detail, and follows up with strong skills.
