Experienced Consultant, Mergers & Acquisitions (Healthcare & Lifesciences) at West Monroe. The M&A Practice in Healthcare and Life Sciences is seeking an Experienced Consultant to join the national M&A team servicing corporate and private equity clients investing in or operating software, services and technology-enabled services in payer, provider and life sciences domains. This team leads projects that deliver West Monroe’s core value creation and due diligence offerings, including platform acquisitions, mergers/integrations, corporate divestiture/carve-outs, sell-side readiness, and post-close value creation and execution. The M&A team includes seasoned, expert, and award-winning professionals. Responsibilities

Client Delivery Work directly with clients and target companies to define how technology supports business functions and creates value; identify opportunities for improvement; highlight investment risks and tactics to mitigate identified risks. Prepare for interviews and workshops to understand target business models, issues, and initiatives implemented to address challenges and support growth. Develop client-ready communications to facilitate decision making, communicate status, identify and mitigate risk, and resolve issues. Contribute to project deliverables such as diligence reports, assessments, project plans, implementation plans, communication plans, and financial models. Collaborate with engagement management to identify and mitigate project risk. Work with West Monroe professionals and clients to establish effective joint project teams. Lead evaluations against best practices in Healthcare & Life Sciences relevant to client/target companies. Ensure project deliverables are complete and appropriate. Interface with all levels of management internally and with clients/targets. Practice Development Contribute to development of tools, templates, frameworks, methodologies, trainings, and collateral used on client assignments and internal initiatives. Support growth of the Healthcare & Life Sciences – Mergers & Acquisition offerings and client delivery capabilities. Participate in performance management processes. Assist with campus and experienced recruiting as requested. Business Development Understand business needs and drive development of project approaches, proposals, and statements of work. Support development of work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for prospects. Build and maintain professional networks in the local community and participate in Healthcare & Life Sciences M&A industry events. Understand client investment needs and tailor proposals to meet them. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in team-based roles within Healthcare, Healthcare IT, M&A/Corp Dev. Experience with payer, provider, life sciences, and/or healthcare IT/healthcare software organizations. Interest in healthcare business/economics, reimbursement models, policy and regulatory changes, and/or healthcare technology/interoperability; strong financial acumen with ability to analyze P&L drivers in healthcare/tech. Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities. Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication; ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Ability to travel up to 50% (short-term on-site engagements, with higher travel during post-close engagements). Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, openness to new ideas and perspectives.
