Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Tax Professional
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in preparing and reviewing
individual (1040)
and
business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065) , have a solid understanding of current tax laws, and enjoy working closely with clients and colleagues in an onsite setting. Responsibilities Main responsibility = Review 1040s prepared by tax associates Prepare and review federal and state individual (1040) tax returns Prepare business tax returns, including corporations, S-corps, and partnerships Identify potential tax credits and deductions Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and resolve tax issues Stay current on IRS and state tax regulations Assist with tax planning and projections Maintain organized and accurate records in compliance with firm standards Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in tax preparation and review Proficiency in tax software (UltraTax or similar) and Microsoft Office applications Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for individuals and small businesses CPA or EA preferred, but not required Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Willingness to work onsite and collaborate in a small team environment What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Supportive team atmosphere Flexible scheduling outside of peak tax season Paid continuing education and professional licensing support Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries: Accounting
