Job Description Classification Title: Data Management Analyst I
Classification Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
Responsibilities
Ensure that data are submitted timely by WRM team, and are accurate for reporting.
Oversee data entry processor in entering data in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
Liaise between the technicians, biological scientists/engineers, post-doctoral associates, and students to address and resolve data findings and concerns.
Maintain an internal data log to ensure timely reporting.
Identify and resolve inconsistencies, missing values, and errors from data collected by the WRP team.
Clean data by standardizing data formats and handling outliers to ensure data quality and accuracy, in collaboration with the WRP team.
Review data regularly for accuracy and resolve routine problems.
Maintain the WRP server and the databases, including the databases on other UF-based servers.
Data Support
Provide support to WRP and other team members associated with the WRP projects on policies and procedures related to data collection, submission, and reporting.
Provide training to WRP members on using various data reporting tools and systems.
Create and maintain procedures for data collection, tracking, and reporting to the WRP team members and other stakeholders.
Develop and provide orientation guidance and training to the WRP team members.
Manage supporting training materials, such as manuals and tutorials.
Data Collection
Collect biophysical data from research and commercial farms, ranchlands, and natural systems.
Collect UAV-based imagery data.
Data Analysis
Analyze the data using graphical, statistical, and other AI-based methods.
Work with the WRP team to implement methods for data analyses for reporting purposes.
Other duties as assigned Other duties as assigned.
Expected Salary $53,000; commensurate with education and experience.
Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
Preferred:
BS in computer science or engineering with experience with agricultural systems.
Experience handling data from private farms; proficiency with statistical software and programming, GIS/remote sensing, drone imagery/elevation, and image processing.
Working knowledge of machine learning and other modeling methods.
Must be able to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
Must have excellent communication and organization skills.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation.
Passion for data and technology.
Ability to contribute to technical reports in English.
Experience with data analysis programs.
Experience with knowledge of Power BI dashboards.
Experience with and/or knowledge of Power Apps.
Proficient in at least one programming language, preferably in R and/or Python.
Strong technological acumen.
Strong problem‑solving skills.
Strong drive and self‑motivation.
Leadership skills to drive projects to completion.
Ability to work well as part of a team, including students, with a high degree of autonomy in completing tasks.
