We are looking for a
part time 2nd Shift
Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Technician
to serve as a resource to the plant to ensure Environmental, Safety and Industrial Health deployments are leveraged effectively and consistently on assigned projects and initiatives. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and plant/corporate initiatives at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This is a part-time position (full-time during pack season, July – October, and when running production off season; part-time the rest of the year). Provides consultation and services to plant personnel regarding environmental, health and safety programs, operations, and compliance. Advise plant management and HR/Safety Manager on EHS management system and compliance issues and opportunities. Assist with new hire and pre-season safety and environmental orientation(s) coordinating with other functional managers as appropriate. Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and plant and corporate initiatives. Provides assessment and first aid treatment to employees within the scope of EMT or first aid responder protocols. Requirements : At least 1-year previous experience in safety or EHS. Experience working in a food manufacturing or other manufacturing environment. CPR/First Aid training certification. Ability to speak, read and write in English; Bilingual Spanish preferred; and effective verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar usage. Ability to work 2nd shift, 2 pm – 10:30 pm, pass a pre-employment drug test and to work extended schedule and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November. Compensation: The wage range is $23.00 - $26.00, based on experience and qualifications, , plus a 2nd shift differential of $.50.
