Position Overview: We are seeking a Controller to report directly to the CFO and take ownership of accounting operations, lead a team of five, implement policies and procedures, and support post-merger integration in a fast-scaling, PE-backed environment. Key Responsibilities: ● Oversee accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, financial reporting, and compliance ● Manage and mentor a team of five accounting professionals ● Establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls ● Lead month-end close, audit readiness, and financial reporting processes ● Report directly to the CFO, supporting strategic financial planning ● Drive post-merger integration efforts for newly acquired businesses ● Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit process ● Optimize ERP systems for automation and reporting Qualifications: ● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred ● 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in PE-backed or acquisitive environments ● ERP systems expertise (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, etc.) ● Experience managing accounting teams and mentoring staff ● Proven track record in implementing financial policies and post-merger integration ● Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance ● Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
