Overview
A Japanese pharmaceutical company has started recruiting accountants. As an accountant, you will be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial settlements, the use of QuickBooks, and payments to banks. In addition, you will also be involved in administration work depending on the situation of the office. Equipment management and various support services may come in. Responsibilities
Accounting Making sure invoices received, review for accuracy based on PO, quote, agreement, obtain approval from responsible party, record invoices in QuickBooks (QB). Prepare payment details and payment batch (s) from the bank, send to appropriate party for approval, release payment (s), and file paid invoices accordingly. Reach out to vendors/consultants if there is a discrepancy on the invoice(s). Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports to parent company. Obtain new vendor/consultant banking information. Coordinate with account assistance service company when to complete the financial closing per closing schedule. Reconcile bank statements. Filing IRS Form 1099-Misc. for contractors/vendors. Keeping track of fixed assets. Preparing quarterly report (formerly monthly report).
Administration Administrator - Egnyte, Microsoft, WebEx, Phones Companies, 401K, payroll, etc. Preparing CDA or Consulting Agreement from template. Distributing mail/fax. Call for service when office equipment breaks down or anything wrong in the office. Making sure all executed agreements are filed accordingly. Creating and formatting documents per request from staff. Preparing PowerPoint presentations or correspondence from draft. Update company holidays schedule, phone directory. Creating and updating templates.
Estimated working hours: 4 hours a day. Working hours may vary depending on the busy season. Flexible scheduling can be discussed. Qualifications
2-3 years accounting experience is helpful. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to analyze complex business/operational/technical data. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to complete on-time delivery of assigned tasks. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work proactively in diverse teams.
