Composed of experienced executives, consultants and volunteers, the vision of Nonprofits First is a community in which all nonprofits achieve their highest level of success.

The Executive Volunteer Corps of Nonprofits First, Inc. is comprised of world‑class executives who have a high level of commitment to capacity‑building for local nonprofit organizations and seek to share their specialized knowledge and experience with nonprofit professionals.
Executive Volunteers have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Nonprofit Administration
Financial Management/auditing
Board Governance/Board Development
Organizational Assessment
Business Process Analysis
Policy and Procedure Development
Strategic Planning/Strategic Financial Planning
Fund Development
Human Resource Management
Volunteer Services
Evaluation/Outcome Measures Marketing and Communications
Information Technology
Teaching/Public Speaking
Executive Coaching
Ideal candidates for our Executive Volunteer Corps may have a minimum of five years of experience at the senior management level, having served as executive directors, chief executive officers, chief financial officers, CPAs, chief operating officers, human resource managers or board members.
Members of the Executive Volunteer Corps serve as part of review teams that verify nonprofit agencies' compliance with a uniform set of standards related to excellence in nonprofit management. These volunteer opportunities are most frequent from April through October.
Executive Volunteers receive access to many Nonprofits First resources and trainings. We provide the support you need to succeed in your volunteer role, as well as the added benefit of assisting organizations designed to address community issues.
