Overview
The Principal Business Risk Control Specialist is responsible for performing business compliance and operational risk and control activities. Educating and training the business to ensure compliance with regulations. Evaluating current operations across the business to identify areas for enhancements. Partnering with the business to implement processes. Actively managing and escalating risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management. Responsibilities
Provides education and monitors the business on requirements of company policies and standards related to risk and control ownership. Develops and implements job aids and tools to facilitate efficient completion of policy and standard requirements. Identifies and implements effective controls to manage operational, financial, and compliance risks. Maintains an accurate library of risks and controls. Performs control design reviews and compliance risk assessments. Monitors the risk and control environment for weaknesses and identifies solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of controls. Executes control testing plans. Creates and distributes monthly risk reporting and complaints data. Leads customer complaint remediation projects. Leads the completion of projects. Develops, implements, and administers control standardization and workflow solutions. Creates continuous monitoring exception reports for critical business processes. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree At least 4 years of Financial services, Marketing, Compliance, Internal Audit Operations or Vendor Management experience At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients Preferred Qualifications
At least 6 years of Financial services, Compliance, Internal Audit Operations or Vendor Management Experience At least 3 years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk Employment and Location

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. This information refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting and is subject to change. McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 Riverwoods, IL: $106,700 - $121,700 Anytown, IL: $106,700 - $121,700 Chicago, IL: $106,700 - $121,700 This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentives, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
