About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations and provide strategic financial leadership. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the construction industry, expertise in Sage accounting software, and hands-on experience managing the month-end close process. Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, payroll, job cost, and general ledger Manage and execute month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Oversee compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements Support audits and coordinate with external auditors or tax advisors Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights that support business decisions Mentor and guide accounting team members Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting role Previous experience in the construction industry required (job costing, WIP schedules, etc.) Proficiency in Sage (Sage 300, Sage Intacct, or similar) Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close best practices Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills Why Join Us
