Financial Analyst
focused on
budgeting/forecasting
to join our organization. You will support the preparation and ongoing monitoring of the Credit Union’s financial budget and forecasting efforts, deliver financial insights during the monthly close process and throughout planning cycles, and provide financial planning, reporting, and analytical support through variance analysis, budget-to-actual tracking, and investigative reporting. You will also conduct deep dives into operating expenses to understand financial drivers, identify potential levers, and enhance performance through scenario analysis used to evaluate financial impact, strategies, and reporting. To thrive in this role, you should have
three to five years
of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. This role blends technical aptitude, analytic ability, and teamwork, and is suited for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, frequent collaboration, and working in a financial institution with an understanding of basic financial statements. Key Skills And Experience Intermediate to advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel, including data tables, LOOKUPs, INDEX MATCH, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and dynamic formulas (e.g., IF statements). SQL/Power BI experience preferred. Ability to assist in the preparation and ongoing monitoring of the credit union’s financial budget and forecasting efforts using budgeting/forecasting software, financial models, databases, and statistical tools. Experience in conducting thorough analysis of financial statements, general ledger, and reporting to deliver financial insights. Ability to perform detailed variance analysis, track budget-to-actual performance, and conduct investigative reporting. Experience in conducting deep dives into general ledgers and operating expenses to help departmental leadership understand financial drivers and identify potential levers to enhance performance.
