Position Summary The primary function of an Accounts Receivable Specialist is to ensure (1) accurate payment application, (2) collection of account balances, and (3) payment discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner. Duties & Responsibilities Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, credit card transactions daily, and payments from online portal Post all checks, deposits, and RA’s from OEROB in a timely manner Pull and post payments from Lockbox Prioritize payment application Adjust incorrect payments from counter sales Maintain relationships with customers while collecting payments Assist with any projects and tasks required by the Credit department Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1-3 years of related work experience Proficient Microsoft Office Skills Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting policy and procedures Core Competencies Must be a team player, posses good organizational and analytical skills, and demonstrate high integrity and attention to detail. Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and solve problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time. Occasionally, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc. Must be able to operate basic office machinery. Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
