About Duke Health's Patient Revenue Management Organization Pursue your passion for caring with the Patient Revenue Management Organization, which is Duke Health's fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization that supports the entire health system in streamlining the revenue cycle. This includes scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and other essential revenue functions.

Revenue Manager Responsibilities

Oversee revenue cycle activities in the assigned clinical area to maximize cost‑effective reimbursement in compliance with billing requirements.

Coordinate charge capture, coding, insurance follow‑up, and reimbursement analysis; monitor scheduling, registration, clinic check‑in, and collections.

Develop and prepare reports to track financial and operational performance across the revenue cycle.

Review and recommend updates to charge master and charge capture documents to maximize reimbursement.

Identify and resolve revenue cycle problems, research data to implement improvement solutions.

Educate and train providers and staff about coding and outstanding revenue cycle issues.

Act as liaison to management and staff in the clinical area, PDC, PRMO, DUHS Hospitals, and third‑party payers.

Develop and manage the budget for staff and activities; develop performance monitoring models.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience in CPT/ICD/9 coding, reimbursement systems (IDX, TES, Medicode, PAS), financial analytical skills, spreadsheets, databases, APC, DRG, and third‑party reimbursement guidelines and procedures.

Education Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

Experience Six years of experience in the healthcare industry is required.

Licenses, Certifications, and Degrees BA, BBA, RN, CPC, RRA, or CPA, or higher.
