KPMG US . KPMG is seeking a Senior Manager/Director to join the Estates, Gifts, and Trusts group within the Washington National Tax (WNT) practice. This role involves collaborating with professionals across KPMG offices and international member firms to advise clients on planning and compliance matters related to estate and gift tax, generation-skipping transfer tax, fiduciary income tax, and international transfer and trust tax. The position supports privately held businesses and family offices on estate and trust planning matters and contributes to the firm’s Private Enterprise and Family Office Practice. Responsibilities
Work closely with KPMG professionals from offices across the country and with KPMG International member firms to advise clients on planning and compliance matters involving estate and gift tax, generation-skipping transfer tax, fiduciary income tax, and international transfer and trust tax Support the Private Enterprise and Family Office Practice, working with owners of privately held businesses and family offices on estate and trust planning matters Prepare technical analyses/memoranda, private letter ruling requests, and tax opinions Collaborate with other groups within the Washington National Tax practice Instruct internal firm courses and author articles Qualifications
Minimum eight years of recent estate, gift, and trust tax experience with a law firm, accounting firm, the IRS/Treasury, and/or a bank or corporation Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM, or other credentials on KPMG’s approved listing; if not possessed at employment, one year to obtain an approved designation/credential Outstanding research and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to professionals from other areas of tax and to clients who may not have a technical tax background Additional Information
