Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Pre-Analytical Assistant for their West Hills, CA location.
Responsibilities:
Learn and understand the duties of the Pre-Analytical Assistant I, including how Tech Ops and Specimen Processing functions interrelate and impact quality. Identify issues with specimens, such as missing information or specimen types, and resolve or escalate problems to ensure timely processing. Understand compliance policies related to test ordering, including researching test order information via translation tables, computer systems, and service directories. Achieve quality and production standards within 6 months of training. Complete all documentation clearly, legibly, and promptly. Maintain punctuality and support department operations during coworker absences. Learn additional functions in Tech Ops and Specimen Processing to progress to the next level. Perform other assigned duties, handle multiple tasks in a production environment, and communicate effectively at all levels. Maintain composure under pressure, exercise good judgment, and adhere to safety, compliance, and work policies. Work in a biohazard environment following safety standards. Keep the work area clean and organized per 5S standards. Be physically capable of sitting, standing, walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and maneuvering large carts or racks. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and flexibility to adapt to change. Requirements:
Basic data entry skills and good organizational skills. Understanding of specimen types related to ordered tests and laboratory handling requirements. Knowledge of compliance regulations that may change daily. Flexibility, willingness to improve, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Ability to perform manual tasks such as sorting, racking, specimen pickup/delivery, storage, centrifugation, and aliquoting accurately and efficiently. Why Should You Apply?
