The EHS coordinator may also review reports and findings to monitor performance and detect trends related to health and safety. As well as being familiar with the following regulatory programs such as, but not limited to, PPE, Electrical Safety, Lockout/Tag out, Blood Borne Pathogen, Machine Guarding, Forklift, Hazard Communication, and other programs as the need arises.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform incident investigations and assist in corrective actions

Conduct job hazard analysis, and recommend preventative/corrective action where EH&S hazards exist

Interact with all departments to assist with EH&S issues

Train employees on EH&S programs

Create and enforce a culture of safety within our organization and jointly implement programs, policies, and assessments to ensure Chandler (and all its employees) are in compliance with all federal and internal health and safety regulations

Performs administrative duties for the EHS department including but not limited to general data entry and filing of training records, compliance documentation, and other EH&S records

Develop and support implementation of various safety policies and programs

Handle confidential information and Maintain EH&S records

Manage Hazardous Waste (WAA, profiles, and coordinate disposal)

Initiate and maintain pertinent permits for hazardous materials

Coordinate regular site safety visits to install and maintenance locations

Posting of safety policies and procedures to ensure safe work practices

Other duties as required

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

At least 2 years of professional safety experience in the field as a Safety Professional

Working knowledge of Federal/State Regulatory Requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA)

Working knowledge of chemical safety and hygiene

Strong interpersonal communication and time management skills

Excellent verbal, written communication and decision making skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Must be proficient in use of Microsoft office suite

Mechanical Aptitude (Preferred)

Basic math/statistical skills

Ability of using hand tools, forming of materials, assembly
