The Art Manager plays a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive arts and cultural programs and initiatives within the Parks and Recreation Department. This position is responsible for fostering community engagement, promoting artistic expression, managing public art projects, and ensuring the successful operation of art-related facilities and programs. Reports to the Parks and Recreations Director. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A Bachelor\'s in a relevant field such as recreation administration, arts administration, or a related area is typically required or preferred. Several years of experience in recreation program administration, including supervisory roles, and experience in managing public art programs required. Education + experience will be taken in consideration. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE Possession of a valid North Carolina driver’s license. Must be able to pass a criminal background test.
