Full-time, permanent Telecommunicator I position with Hoke County Emergency Communications Department. 12-hour shifts required (TBD) on rotating schedule. Description of Work:
Responsible for handling the Emergency 911 radio system, and proper dispatch of emergency personnel. General Statement of Duties:
Responsible for handling the Emergency 911 radio system, and proper dispatch of emergency personnel. Minimum Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent 6-12 months of Public Safety experience Good typing skills Excellent communication skills Able to develop good working relationships with the public Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old Valid NC driver’s license and a good driving record Subject to a criminal and driving history background check Successful candidate will be subject to drug/alcohol testing Testing Requirement:
Applicants will be required to take a Telecommunicator basic skills test. Applicants meeting minimum requirements will be contacted by the Emergency Communications Department to make an appointment for this test. Applicants will be chosen for interviews from those having taken the basic skills test. Posting Date:
