Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 6 semester hours in a quantitative discipline (e.g., computer science, statistics, engineering, etc.) and one year of full-time experience sourcing, collecting, validating, analyzing, or presenting data in a professional environment. Substitution of Experience for Education: Additional full-time experience sourcing, collecting, validating, analyzing, or presenting data in a professional environment may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis up to four years. Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in a quantitative discipline may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up to one year. Overview
Under general supervision, this classification has an average workload functioning at the working level performing data querying and reporting work. An employee in this class may validate data, conduct data analysis, deliver data-driven communications, develop reports, and perform related work as needed. Responsibilities
Conduct ad hoc analysis utilizing existing data, metrics, and reports. Extract and interpret reports for internal and external stakeholders. Develop and deliver professional data-driven communications and summary documents. Develop and maintain reporting schedule and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders. Serve as point-of-contact for program-specific data resources. Query, collect, and validate data from disparate enterprise systems and internal/external partners. Improve data collection methods or propose efficient alternatives. Identify areas for improvement in data collection and partner with technology and analytics resources to implement. May assist in conducting joint analytics training sessions and act as facilitator for training materials. Develop plans to maintain integrity of internal databases and/or sources. Continuously identify and solve data quality issues. Identify business needs/challenges related to data and reporting. Facilitate business requirements collection and deliver summary documentation as necessary. May participate in data governance workflows as program subject matter expert. Create and track summary metrics for new or updated program initiatives. May support implementation of advanced analytics and dash boarding.
