IT Manager
Location: Austin, TX
Salary: $180,000 - $220,000
Overview We’re looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead our Corporate IT team and oversee the reliable performance of all hardware, software, and network systems that support our employees across the organization. This role is both strategic and hands‑on, ensuring day‑to‑day operational excellence while driving IT initiatives that align with our business priorities.
Key Responsibilities IT Operations & Support
Supervise daily IT support activities, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
Provide direct technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network concerns.
Maintain IT inventory and ensure optimal functionality of all technology assets.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of IT professionals, promoting skill growth and career development.
Delegate tasks effectively, balance workloads, and monitor performance against goals.
Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance team productivity.
IT Security & Compliance
Partner with the Security Manager to implement and maintain cybersecurity measures.
Ensure adherence to data privacy laws, industry standards, and internal IT policies.
Audit systems for vulnerabilities, safeguard data integrity, and address “Shadow IT” risks.
Oversee the planning and delivery of IT projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
Collaborate with other departments to identify technology solutions that support business needs.
Support budget development, track expenditures, and seek cost‑effective IT solutions.
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience
5+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Proven expertise in IT infrastructure management, including servers, networking, and end‑user systems.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
Strong understanding of networking protocols and IT hardware.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Knowledge of IT security tools and practices, including firewalls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
Certifications (Preferred)
ITIL, CompTIA Network+, or similar industry certifications.
Preferred Experience
Leading IT teams in fast‑paced or complex environments.
Working with ERP systems and enterprise business applications.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
