The Gist… Our IICS Data Engineer will support our Agile Environment and be responsible for modernizing the data warehouse environment by migrating the Informatica Powercenter Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services.

What Your Day Might Include…

Modernize the data warehouse environment by migrating the Informatica Powercenter to Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS)

Help customers and mission users conceptualize and prioritize their data analysis and visualization needs.

Collaborating with teams across the organization to help prioritize competing analytic needs and incrementally develop new and optimized capabilities.

Working on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting creativity and resourcefulness.

Evaluating existing data sets and reporting architectures to identify strategic gaps and apply modern technologies to creatively achieve superior mission outcomes.

Apply your skills in development languages such as SQL, Sparks, Python and to create or augment business and operational intelligence tools to detect trends, patterns, and non-obvious relationships in large, complex, and disparate data sets.

Lead across teams and organizations as a responsible, team-oriented individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and work ethic.

Promote Agile culture and functional decomposition

Identify new portfolio business value innovations and opportunities

Assists in removing roadblocks/impediments for the various teams

Works with coaches on establishing coaching plans for teams that might not be trending well on metrics or in general with ASF/Agile concepts

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree, 7+ years of professional experience working on complex data challenges in the areas of data architecture and engineering

3-5 years of Informatica experience (at least 1 year in IICS implementation experience)

Database skillset for AWS RDS concepts, and understanding of database principles used by tools such Databricks, Oracle, and Informatica ETL

Strong software development background using Agile or DevOps methods and deep familiarity with cloud-native technologies.
