Overview
Mid-Level Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the IRES contract at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. HX5 is an award-winning provider of engineering, research and development, and technical services with locations nationwide. Responsibilities
Perform verified risk assessments that cover all security controls and policies aligned with Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG) methodologies. Develop and maintain artifacts in support of Control Validation Tests (CVT) to confirm compliance with ATOs for SAP packages. Understand STIGs and experience with STIG viewer. Monitor and assist with implementing security controls. Manage and monitor Plan of Action and Milestones (PO&AMs) effectively. Conduct routine audit management. Monitor and validate patch management. Monitor and validate endpoint security. Develop security metrics and reporting and be able to articulate the metrics. Qualifications
Must have 4, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience. May be reduced with completion of advanced education. Must have 2, or more, years of directly related experience. Must have 1, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role. Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+). Must have an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance w/ SCI Eligibility. Desirable Requirements
Be proficient knowledge and experience with Windows and Linux Systems IOS. Have experience with SolarWinds - SEM tool. Other Position Details
Position Type/Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours. Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is required. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. Must be able to travel, including air travel up to 10%. Must have a valid Driver's License. Benefits
