Desktop Support Technician – Compucom Staffing (Lynn, MA)
Responsibilities
Account for work using visual task board and ServiceNow ticket system during regular team stand‑up meetings.
Provide technical support to end users in person at the customer site.
Assist Site Leader in executing established processes and escalations.
Repair, test, image, and clean PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and related hardware.
Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals.
Execute large IMAC events for client printer migration and PC refreshes.
Ensure all tickets requiring follow‑up work and calls receive appropriate attention.
Perform backup, recovery, and security procedures, both planned and during emergency.
Detect, diagnose, and accurately report outage of critical site applications.
Assist with diagnoses of network hardware and performance problems.
Perform approved installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical network.
Perform network system administration tasks, both planned and during emergency.
Back up and burn end‑user data.
Develop and document improvements to current processes.
Assist coworkers in resolving end‑user technical issues across the program.
Qualifications
Positive, confident attitude delivering great customer experience.
High energy suitable for fast‑paced environment.
Deep understanding of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and replacing PC/laptop hardware internal components (motherboard, hard drives, RAM, CPU) and PC software (Windows blue‑screen, Outlook, network printers).
Experience with server and network support within an enterprise.
Strong understanding of enterprise technologies (Office 365, Windows 10 Professional, imaging, ticketing systems).
Experience supporting applications related to engineering, manufacturing, and logistics is a plus.
Self‑driven, able to work independently and meet scheduled hours.
Proactive and reliable, key attribute for limited site IT leaders.
Ability to handle multiple projects and respond well to feedback from leadership.
Experience with asset management and enterprise environment.
Wage Range Hourly rate: $19.50 – $28.60. Pay is influenced by geography, skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
