Overview
Under general supervision, responsible for managing the more complex network systems and resolving network problems. Responsibilities
Monitors, troubleshoots and maintains network (both LAN and WAN) multiplexers, hubs and routers, and uses remote monitoring tools. Provides end-user support for network connectivity issues; installs new workstations and peripheral devices, manages user access, archives files, implements security measures including password protection measures. Assists in selecting and implementing network management applications for Internet components. Installs and maintains network related equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, IPS/IDS, etc. according to established guidelines. Make recommendations for improving the reliability and performance of the network. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Experience directly related to administering Windows Server, Active Directory, LAN\WAN implementations, troubleshooting using Cisco switches and routers, and administering Microsoft Exchange and SQL. Self-motivated and willing to take on new challenges with the ability to solve problems with creative solutions and work well in a team environment. Strong network trouble shooting skills to include identifying problems, determining root cause, and timely resolution. Ability to learn new technologies and work with teams to provide input on improvements to existing processes and systems. Strong oral and written skills. Education
Bachelor's Degree degree in Computer Science or related field is required. Experience
