Overview
We are seeking a resourceful, self-motivated and experienced Managing Architect with the ability to provide high-level building review and design services for a broad range of clientele. Applications for this position are primarily sought for our Syracuse, Utica, Rochester and Albany, NY offices. The position offers excellent career growth and advancement potential for the selected individual. Responsibilities
Architectural design, including detailing, and delegation of work to intern architects and designers, and review of their work; Preparation and review of design reports, building condition surveys, construction drawings and specifications; and Verification of construction projects for compliance with plans and specifications. Client engagement and interaction; Proposal and fee development; Project site investigations; Code review and analysis Qualifications
B.S. in Architecture with a minimum of 10+ years of diverse consulting engineering experience on municipal, commercial, private, and/or industrial facilities projects; Acute analytical skills, ability to design and manage small to large projects, and a comprehensive technical background across architectural and building design, including code review and client management; Excellent communication and writing skills; software capabilities include Microsoft Office, Revit, and AutoCAD; Strong working knowledge of basic construction and industry standards, and familiarity with state building codes; ability to collaborate with structural, electrical, mechanical and civil engineers; Desired soft skills include interfacing with internal and external clients, mentoring younger staff, and assisting with proposal development; Industry certifications such as LEED AP are a plus; Registration as a Registered Architect (RA or AIA) in NY or eligibility to obtain is desired. Estimated pay range: $90,000 - $115,000/year. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. About Barton & Loguidice
