Glenside Required: a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field plus 1 year accounting experience. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Perform bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, including foreign currency. Prepare and enter journal entries. Prepare and edit budget reports within the report manager system. Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts, including accrual, prepaid, receivable, and deferred revenue accounts. Maintain aging reconciliations to the general ledger for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Work with the billing department to identify and reconcile systematic discrepancies. Assist in developing and implementing accounting procedures. Assist with new finance staff training and any required community training. Review financial activity for accuracy, completeness and proper documentation and approval. Oversee monthly testing of financial data to ensure compliance with internal controls. Coordinate with staff for monthly and year-end close deadlines. Assist with month-end and quarterly reconciliations. Assist with preparation of year-end Audit Work Papers. Complete special projects and ad hoc reports as needed. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Understanding of accounting and finance matters, including government regulations and internal financial controls. High level of accuracy in work. Understanding of GAAP compliance. Diplomatic leadership, interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills for interacting with the University community, including international staff. Ability to implement and manage financial systems. Ability to work autonomously and exercise independent judgment. Ability to maintain confidential information. Integrity and credibility; excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
