Litigation Attorney (Contract)
Hybrid (Manhattan, NY)
Morae Global Corporation seeks to find the best and the brightest people – those who understand what it takes to deliver top-quality solutions for our clients.
We are seeking experienced Litigation Attorneys to support our Legal Services team with back‑office litigation work. This initiative aims to enhance efficiency and quality across our expanding caseload, with a strong focus on general litigation – particularly premises liability matters. While commercial litigation and mass tort cases are also part of the mix, general litigation is our primary area of need.
Key Responsibilities As a Litigation Attorney in our team, you will focus on pre‑trial support work, contributing to high‑quality case preparation and document drafting. Your responsibilities will include:
Drafting pleadings, including Answers and responsive documents
Reviewing case files post‑Note of Issue for completeness and trial readiness
Preparing dispositive and procedural motions
Summarizing depositions, medical records, and discovery responses
Drafting Requests for Authority and internal settlement recommendations
Conducting legal research and writing memoranda on litigation issues or verdict trends
Ensuring discovery compliance in line with relevant state procedural rules
Note: No court appearances or deposition coverage is required — this is a purely back‑office, litigation support role.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York Bar strongly preferred
Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with significant exposure to premises liability
Proficiency in drafting pleadings, motion practice, and litigation support documentation
Solid understanding of New York discovery rules and civil procedure
Experience evaluating settlement value and preparing recommendations for authority
Contract Details
Full‑time: ~40 hours per week
Contract length: 12 months minimum with potential for renewal
Work setup: Remote; must be authorized to work in the U.S.
