This entry-level position provides broad training and knowledge necessary to progress in research administration. The Associate will assist with pre‑ and post‑award activities for assigned departments and principal investigators, reviewing expenditure requests, providing grant support, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with policies and sponsor guidelines.

Expose to pre‑ and post‑grant award activities.

Assist with pre‑ and post‑award activities for assigned departments and principal investigators (PIs).

Review expenditure requests and effort review with guidance from colleagues or leadership; review expenditures against budget constraints.

Participate in providing pre‑award grant support and assist with formatting biographical sketches.

Assist with maintaining master documents using various University and Federal systems.

Assist with annual progress reports.

Build knowledge of compliance in administrative policies and procedures by identifying areas of concern in interpreting and enforcing sponsor guidelines, time and effort management, allowable expenditures.

Update and maintain PI current and pending and/or other support documentation within the timeframe provided by the coordinating grant manager.

Perform additional duties as needed.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

0 years of relevant experience required; 0‑2 years preferred.
