We’re looking for a passionate Lead Teacher to provide a fun, safe, and positive social‑emotional experience for children at our Child Development Center (“Wee Care”) located on the campus of Providence Portland Hospital.
Description As a Lead Teacher you will supervise teachers, aides, and volunteers, maintain a safe, developmentally appropriate classroom environment, implement an engaging curriculum with a clear daily schedule, and foster positive relationships with children and parents. You will complete application record keeping and administrative tasks timely, participate in child observation and assessment, and take responsibility for the center in the Director’s absence—ensuring licensing standards are upheld, managing the schedule to meet ratio, and leading in emergency situations.

Pass a YMCA Background Check
Meet all qualifications of a Certified Child Care Teacher as determined by the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care
Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment
Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
At least 18 years of age
