Full Time, Non-Exempt Job Summary The Ramp Supervisor will lead, direct, and coordinate ground, line, and cabin service personnel to ensure the timely delivery of services for airlines. The role involves accountability for safety, operational standards, policy implementation, client relations, and financial performance of ramp operations. Job Responsibilities Establish shift assignments for full-time and part-time employees Monitor and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all ground support equipment Report discrepancies in ground support equipment's functional and mechanical aspects Coordinate with carriers to meet cargo and baggage service needs, ensuring on-time schedules Maintain equipment safety and operational standards Collaborate with other supervisors and managers across departments Determine staffing requirements and ensure disciplinary procedures are fairly administered Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards Perform under pressure within fixed time constraints Ensure availability of ground equipment for upcoming flights Read and interpret aircraft loading instructions, hazardous materials labels, and baggage tags Comply with all relevant federal, state, municipal, airport, and carrier regulations Brief crews before flights on roles and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum 6 months of computer experience, knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to operate electronic devices (computers, fax, printers, timeclock) Proven supervisory experience in a business environment Experience in operational planning and resource management Knowledge of GSE maintenance issues Understanding of commercial aviation issues High School diploma or GED At least 18 years old Ability to process information efficiently Valid Driver's License Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) Previous ramp or airline experience Successful completion of training and certifications, maintained throughout employment Ability to pass FBI fingerprint background check Physical Requirements Physically capable of standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods Repetitively lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions with exposure to loud noises Working Hours Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays Extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations GAT Airline Ground Support is an equal opportunity employer, drug-free workplace, and conducts background checks and drug tests.
