Monitor Tech - ED Full-time, night shift position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services, the Monitor Technician is responsible for observing, documenting, and reporting cardiac rhythms of patients of all ages, from infancy through geriatric, on telemetry. Additionally, this role performs Unit Secretary responsibilities, including general clerical functions that ensure efficient processing of information and communication. The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since then, the hospital has evolved to meet the needs of the community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 to form Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals constitute a 238-bed community hospital network with a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. Education/Training/Experience: High School Graduate or equivalent Completion of a dysrhythmia for monitor techs course Completion of a medical terminology course or a minimum of 6 months working in a healthcare setting Minimum 6 months acute care hospital experience on a telemetry unit Prior experience working as a telemetry/monitor tech Prior experience working as a unit secretary Certifications/Licenses: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association required. Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire. EEO Statement
