Industrial Sales Representative - Chicago, IL
We are looking to hire an
Industrial Sales Representative
(outside sales) to join our sales team, working remotely from a home office in Chicago, IL. This position is responsible for the sale of racking and static and dynamic storage solutions within the state of Illinois.
Overview Location: Chicago, IL (remote/home office with local travel)
Major responsibilities
Manage customer relationships by continuously updating and training racking or material handling dealers, distributors, systems integrators, and end-users on our racking products and applications.
Visit dealers, distributors, and end users in territory to strengthen existing relationships, follow up on leads and quotes, and close business.
Conduct sales presentations, complete sales calls, manage sales order negotiations, and oversee the execution of sales orders.
Partner with internal technical resources to create quotes for customers.
Partner with customers to develop long term relationships, generate additional sales, and guide problem resolution discussions.
Develop monthly and weekly sales plans that include prospecting activities and forecasts.
Ensure completion of customer projects through the coordination of engineering, manufacturing, installation, and customer service activities.
Update daily the lead, quote, and order activity in the company\'s CRM software, CIM. Keep CIM updated daily.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering is preferred.
At least one year of experience in the Material Handling Industry.
At least one year of experience in Industrial Sales.
Strong technical aptitude.
Must live within one hour (driving) of Chicago, IL.
Must have an excellent driving record and own a car with auto liability coverage limits of $100,000 per person, $300,000 per accident in bodily injury liability, and $100,000 per accident in property damage liability.
Willingness for business travel locally in Illinois, visiting customers 2-4 days per week.
High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Education and experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering (preferred).
Experience in Material Handling Industry and Industrial Sales (minimum 1 year each).
