We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Regional Sales Manager to oversee sales activities across multiple states in the Southeast region. This role involves forecasting sales, managing a team of sales representatives and distributors, and promoting a diverse range of products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strategic approach to sales and a strong track record in the industry.
Regional Sales Manager - Valves & Flow Control Responsibilities
Establish annual sales forecasts for representatives and distributors. Regularly promote seminars for key customers and encourage plant tours for major accounts, especially those with upcoming projects. Work with representatives and distributor owners to strategize on how to penetrate both new and existing markets. Monitor distributor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock to meet market demand. Act as a central point for all sales leads, coordinating follow-ups and ensuring the appropriate parties are involved. Make on-the-spot pricing decisions within factory guidelines to close orders and notify management of any pricing decisions made in the field. Coordinate with distributors to set up account calls, focusing on high-potential customers. Actively manage and schedule calls as necessary, ensuring the highest potential clients are prioritized. Provide weekly activity reports, outlining the previous week's efforts and plans for the upcoming week. Document items requiring follow-up in the CRM system (D365). Submit a monthly summary of key wins, losses, and focus targets to senior management for review. Conduct training sessions for representatives and distributors to enhance product knowledge, presentation skills, and market engagement strategies Collaborate with senior management to assess distributor performance, including evaluating whether to maintain or add new distributors in the territory. Provide confidential feedback to management regarding the effectiveness of sales representatives and distributors
Regional Sales Manager - Valves & Flow Control Position Requirements
Degree in Engineering or a related field, or a minimum of 10 years of sales or sales management experience in a related industry (preferably ball valves or control valves). Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CRM software (experience with D365 is a plus). Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
