Job Details Description The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for forecasting sales for the upcoming year, managing sales Representatives and Distributors along with promoting all products, programs, and policies.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Scheduling : Must schedule own time in the field, average 50% field presence for territories in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma.
Sales : Establish annual sales forecast for each rep and distributor; promote seminars, plant tours; strategize market penetration; monitor distributor inventory; act as clearing house for leads; coordinate follow‑up; make pricing decisions within factory guidelines; notify Houston in writing of pricing decisions.
Planning : Coordinate with distributor owners to set up calls on selected accounts; schedule calls if necessary; target high‑potential customers.
Reporting : Weekly Teams call summarizing activities; record follow‑up items in CRM D365 and send to distributor; monthly summary of top 5 wins/losses and targets to VP of Sales; submit critical account information as needed.
Training : Conduct seminars for Representatives and Distributors to review product line, introduce new products, and improve product knowledge and presentation skills.
Administrative : Decide on distributor cancellation or addition with VP of Sales; find qualified representation; evaluate distributor performance; report concerns to upper management confidentially.
Qualifications and Core Competencies
Degreed Engineer or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of sales or sales management experience in related industry, preferably ball valves and/or control valves.
Average computer skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Extensive use of D365 CRM.
Valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
