Overview
Research Project Assistant Posting Summary: Oversee the day-to-day implementation of a NIH-funded research study evaluating the efficacy of a novel telemedicine-delivered PE protocol for improving therapy attendance and PTSD symptoms in individuals with OUD. Responsibilities include participant recruitment, scheduling and conducting intake and follow-up assessments and study visits via telemedicine, obtaining subject consents via REDCap, and coordinating and conducting urine toxicology testing via telemedicine. Maintain confidentiality and sensitive records in accordance with University guidelines. Assist as needed with IRB-approved protocols and the preparation of progress reports, presentations, and manuscripts related to the study.
Responsibilities
Recruit participants and manage scheduling for intake and follow-up assessments and study visits conducted via telemedicine.
Obtain subject consents via REDCap and coordinate urine toxicology testing via telemedicine.
Uphold fiscal responsibilities related to participant compensation and purchasing of study-related equipment and supplies.
Enter and manage all data collected during the study using REDCap and Access under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and biostatistician.
Maintain files and records with discretion regarding sensitive information and confidentiality within University guidelines.
Assist with IRB-approved protocols and with preparation of progress reports, presentations, and manuscripts related to the study.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, medical fields, or related area with at least one year of experience. Effective organizational skills and the ability to adhere to study protocols. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Comfort working with complex populations and maintaining a respectful interaction style with participants.
Desirable Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and experience with data entry, data management, and graphing.
Experience with clinical populations and with research, especially behavioral treatments or study management.
Anticipated Pay Range $23.00 - $27.00

Special Conditions:
Bargaining unit position; External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period; Contingent on continued funding; Occasional evenings/weekends required (non-exempt may receive overtime); Hybrid schedule available; Background check required; Probationary period may be required for current UVM employees.
