A Day in the Life The

Principal Sales Training & Education Specialist

is a highly visible and critical part of our Medtronic ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) Global Marketing Team. You will work on global ENT training plans for the Chronic Rhinosinusitis Therapies, focusing on localized drug delivery, balloon technologies, and office site of service. Your focus is to deliver world‑class sales training to our commercial team, collaborating with Marketing, Clinical, Medical Education, and Sales Leadership to plan, develop, and execute new‑hire, product‑launch, and advanced training. You will identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement best practices across the team to maximize learning impact.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, coordinate, and deliver in‑house product training programs for field sales, clinical specialists, and customers.

Obtain information needed to prepare training programs; prepare materials; develop course content; determine methodology; and coordinate development of training aids.

Ensure training program(s) meets company and customer objectives.

Develop deep understanding of procedural use for ENT product lines and create effective continuing education programs to deepen product acumen and enable competitive selling strategies.

Maintain competitive product knowledge for dissemination to field teams.

Utilize trainers with technical expertise as needed.

Develop and maintain strong field and marketing relationships.

Prepare and support new product launch activities, including sales messaging and training tools.

Collaborate with Global Marketing, Medical Affairs, R&D, and other departments to ensure alignment and input to training plans.

Continuously revise lesson plans to keep technical information up‑to‑date.

Prefer Jacksonville location; open to remote workers.

Travel 20%‑30%.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent with 11+ years of relevant experience in a clinical lab setting, clinical training, field sales/support in medical device/healthcare industry, education curriculum and classroom facilitation, or equivalent experience (or Associate’s Degree with 9+ years experience, or Baccalaureate Degree with 7+ years experience).

Nice to Have

Previous experience arranging, managing, and executing training programs.

Ability to analyze and communicate clinical study designs and results.

Background in office site of care and/or pharmaceutical curriculum.

Comfortable with data and analytics using systems like SFDC, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams/SharePoint.

Experience working with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Marketing and Sales.

Benefits & Compensation Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package designed to support you at every career and life stage.

Salary range for U.S. locations (excluding Puerto Rico): $109,600.00 – $164,400.00.

Base salary applies across the United States. The offer complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on experience, certification, education, market conditions, and location.

Eligibility for the short‑term incentive Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
