This recruitment is promotional only. You must presently be a full or part-time regular or probationary County of Sonoma, Community Development Commission, Sonoma County Fairgrounds, or Sonoma County Water Agency employee in order to apply for this position.

The Department of Health Services has requested a department promotional certification to fill a Client Care Manager position. Only qualified permanent and/or probationary Department of Health Services employees on the eligible list may be eligible for referral to the department for the advertised position. The Client Care Manager (CCM) is responsible for all aspects of managing the County Behavioral Health Crisis Stabilization Unit. The CCM co-manages the unit with a second CCM with support from the Acute & Forensics Section Manager, a Patient Care Analyst, the Supervising Nurse, and a Behavioral Health Clinical Specialist. The CCM directly supervises 30 or more staff including Behavioral Health Clinicians, Client Support Specialists, and, with the Medical Director and Supervising Nurse, co-supervises Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, and Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Psychiatric Technicians. Please note: This position requires 24 hour on-call availability for one week at a time approximately every six weeks. This on-call responsibility is shared with two other CCMs in the Behavioral Health Division and three Section Managers. The CCM may be expected to work hours outside their normal schedule to help cover a shift of the same classification to maintain operational needs of the CSU, which may include providing weekend coverage.
