Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute California Full Time Historic Preservation, Other A Cultural Resources Senior Research Associate position is being advertised with Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute (TAMU-NRI) to provide technical expertise, program management support, surveillance, and oversight of Cultural Resources installation support services for Fort Irwin, California. The duty station for this position is Fort Irwin, CA. The Cultural Resource Senior Research Associate shall provide technical expertise, guidance, management support, and oversight for Fort Irwin regarding National Historic Preservation Act Section 106/110 consultation and documentation; review project documents (work plans, schedules, and technical reports); assist with project execution; develop Archaeological Resource Protection Act (ARPA) and/or Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) plans of action that address inadvertent discoveries; collate, review, and respond to periodic data calls; assist with annual reviews of Integrated Cultural Resource Management Plans (ICRMPs) and Tribal relations; track milestone dates and deadlines for plans and permits; assist with the identification and evaluation of built environment features and structures, archaeological sites, and Traditional Cultural Properties; assist with the inspection of curated collections and facilitate professional access to curated materials for research purposes; technical report reviews and revisions; provide technical expertise and support for media and advocacy materials; provide technical expertise in geospatial mapping related to the management of cultural resources and historic/prehistoric properties; and develop, manage, and organize cultural resources data and associated files.
