We are inviting applications for 2 postdoctoral positions in our laboratory at The Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center, Department of Neurology & Neuroscience Research Institute. Our lab focuses on axon-glia interactions and how glial metabolism regulates axon integrity and myelination. Responsibilities
The Post Doctoral Researcher will pursue specialized research training, education and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in the Department of Neurology; plan, design and execute experiments of considerable scope and complexity in the assigned research lab; collect and analyzes data for research sponsored by appropriate agencies and Institutions; identify and select problems to be studied; develop and troubleshoot new experimental techniques and protocols; attend research seminars; contribute to manuscript preparation and support technical writing; participate in preparation of grant applications for extramural funding; perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience
Applicants should have demonstrated outstanding performance throughout their previous studies with their own publications. The successful candidate should hold a PhD in biomedical sciences with less than 3 years of prior post-doctoral experience, be highly motivated, and show good communication skills. Strong language and writing skills are important. Doctoral degree in Biological Sciences required; Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen. Additional Information
