Position Summary: As a Meat Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Meat and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. Base pay range
$24.00/hr - $32.00/hr Responsibilities
Be a Team Leader: Supervises the team within the meat department to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club by communicating the goals of the department; executing company programs; adhering to policies; advocating for the member, the associate, and the company; and working collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club is meeting the member's expectations. Be an Expert: Maintains in‑depth knowledge of the floor, backroom operations, product updates, and product specifications; ensures the meat department meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, equipment usage, safety, sanitation, and compliance; prioritizes training for the team to understand item specifications and proper equipment use; engages with members to help them make informed protein selections. Be a Techie: Applies digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and boost associate engagement; uses handheld technology to support production, training, and product quality; encourages adoption of new tools. Be an Owner: Drives business results with a focus on operational excellence; maintains a neat, clean, and safe meat department; uses digital tools for forecasting, planning, and production; manages inventory and ordering; ensures appropriate staffing and compliance; maintains equipment and displays according to plan. Be a Talent Ambassador: Identifies training needs, develops skills to deliver high quality products, supports career growth for team members, and sources new talent internally and externally. Develops, communicates, and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; analyzes information, monitors progress, and identifies improvement opportunities. Demonstrates and supports compliance with company policies and standards of ethics; explains and applies these in business processes; supports management in addressing ethical and compliance issues. Minimum Qualifications : 6 months experience in a meat production department or 6 months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Requires successful completion of required trainings and assessments if selected for the position. Preferred Qualifications : Meat processing experience (boneless and bone-in products); supervising associates; Food Handler Certification (Food Safety). Primary Location: 1500 S.
