We need someone who understands the connection between marketing and sales and genuinely gets excited with each and every sale – big or small! Our AEs meet and exceed sales objectives in their assigned territory by using professional sales techniques to develop long-term advertising relationships that grow Lamar advertising sales and our relationships in our communities. A Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm schedule with paid holidays, with a combination of time spent in-office and selling in the field First-year earning potential of
$50,000
including commissions, dependent on experience and selling ability No commission cap, so earning potential is unlimited as you grow your book of business! Monthly auto and cell allowances for work-related expenses What we can provide

Comfort making cold calls over the phone and in-person Ability to make oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures Align with our values of inclusivity and effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds Motivation to learn new technology and systems Strong time management and self-organization Willingness to immerse yourself in the outdoor advertising industry and sell its benefits Professional written and verbal communication Ability to perform under fluctuating workloads Knack for making connections and gaining trust Meet a sales quota and use general sales techniques Intrinsic self-motivation to overcome challenges and meet goals Resilience in response to rejection Education and experience
Current and valid driver’s license required College degree preferred Previous outdoor advertising sales experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite CRM experience preferred Please note: Upon submitting your application, you will be asked to complete an 8-15 minute personality assessment. Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports Target businesses in the assigned area and visit Lamar clients as well as competitors’ clients Exhibit knowledge of local and national competition Cluster accounts to work efficiently Identify growth opportunities and open new accounts Use Lamar tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare proposals Develop presentation skills and present to clients regularly Develop product knowledge and selling skills Participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows Administrative duties: maintain sales plans, follow up on client production orders, and keep client and sales records up to date Physical demands and work environment
