Grundfos, a Great Place to Work certified company, is seeking a District Sales Manager to join its Industry (IND) team and be responsible for Industry distributors in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. The incumbent will grow sales of Grundfos products in the Area of Primary Responsibility (APR) by defining, measuring, analysing, improving, and monitoring the key activities that lead to increased sales to end users, contractors and OEMs. The DSM will build awareness of Grundfos products and maintain a network of distributors, and develop, execute, and maintain a territory growth plan to increase Grundfos market share.

The incumbent can be based anywhere in Texas and will work remotely.

Your main responsibilities

Sales: Facilitate the sale of Grundfos products to end users, contractors, and OEMs.

Provide guidance and support to distributors to maintain existing business and grow new business.

Work with distributors to form and grow relationships with Key Decision Makers (KDMs) such as end users, engineering firms, contractors, etc., to inform them about Grundfos products and influence purchases.

Territory Planning / Channel Development

Develop knowledge of the industrial business climate, industry types, KDMs, applications and competition in the APR.

Develop, maintain and execute a territory growth plan.

Continually assess current Grundfos industrial distribution, evaluate performance, and ensure proper coverage of KDMs in the APR.

Manage conflicts across sales channels or Grundfos business units in line with Grundfos culture.

Training / Mentoring

Provide or facilitate training on Grundfos products and applications, Grundfos online tools and processes, Grundfos sales tools and processes, including Value Selling to distributors.

Your background

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience.

3 years of experience in a similar role.

Experience with industrial distribution or market would be an advantage.

Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

Proficient in MS Office.

Professional sales skills, including key account strategies and plans.

Ability to network and build relationships.

Knowledge of pumps and pumping systems, rotating equipment including electronically controlled pump systems (VFD, controllers, etc.).

Ability to develop and deliver effective product presentations at all levels of management for all audience sizes.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Ability to travel within the assigned area (up to 60% overnight travel).

Ability to travel internationally (passport required).
