Job posting is for a seasonal full-time Food Runner reporting to the Restaurant Manager.
Position Summary The Food Runner delivers and presents food to guests according to established procedures. This position also assists in clearing dishes from tables, setting up and side work. The Food Runner reports to the Restaurant Manager.

Essential Job Functions / Key Responsibilities
Serve food to guests according to standards
Run dishes and make serving dishes a high priority
Be proficient in all menus and be able to describe all menu items to guests when necessary
Assist in clearing dishes from guests
Responsible for setting up the expediting line
Polish glasses and silverware during the shift and as time allows
Maintain proper care and cleanliness of serving equipment such as glassware, china and silverware
Assist in closing duties to reset dining room and stock equipment
Attend daily pre-shift meetings
Report guest comments and complaints to managers
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education & Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
At least 1 year experience working in a restaurant
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Familiarity with Forbes 5-Star standards and procedures
Proficiency in clear verbal and written communication with team members and guests
Basic knowledge of wine, food and cooking methods
Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team goals
Attention to detail
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks
Professional conduct in a fast-paced environment
Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods
Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions and may walk on slippery or uneven surfaces
Occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs (weight limits vary by position)
