Overview JOB SUMMARY: Provides primary care to patients following established standards and practices in collaboration with physician in the clinic.

Responsibilities

Join a group of 4 Outpatient Neurologists, 2 Neuro-Hospitalists, and 3 APPs.

Provide outpatient neurology care in a clinic setting with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm; average 13-15 patients per day.

Perform inpatient rounding during the clinic workday, aligned with outpatient clinic schedule.

Participate in on-call coverage shared with other NPs in the group, totaling 6 weeks per calendar year.

$1,500 CME allowance per fiscal year.

Education

Graduate from accredited school of nursing with successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program OR Graduate from a CAHEA or successor accredited program.

Certification & Licensure

Current license as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse by the State of Missouri OR current license as a Physician Assistant by the State of Missouri.

BLS Certification.

Experience

Three years of experience as a family nurse practitioner, preferred.

Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public.

Ability to maintain quality control standards and remain calm and effective during emergency situations.

Ability to communicate clearly and understand/respond to detailed oral and written instructions.

Ability to learn and efficiently utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs.
